Notes from the campaign trail.

Well, after having volunteered most of my energy to Ed Perlmutter's congressional campaign, I got hired on part time by Colorado Victory 2006 to canvass for Ed. That was around mid-October. I have canvassed in Lakewood, Arvada, and Brighton. Lately, I have been hitting parts of Aurora. Today was particularly good, because I got many people who were supportive of Ed and the Democrats and had already voted in fact. We have a lot of confidence that we will win this race but the idea now is to keep hammering to "Leave No Doubt". As a line from "Remember the Titans" which Ed has quoted yesterday. I applaude the Ritter campaign for keeping up their GOTV efforts after seeing polls that had them anywhere from 12 to 19 points ahead, but I am focusing on this very close, competitive bellweather race. Ed has continued to hammer O'Donnell on his paper about drafting male High School Seniors to the Mexican border and has also hit O'Donnell on his trip to Panama with his Girlfriend on CBS-4's dime. Polling has Ed 6 to 8 points ahead, but the Republican GOTV effort really kicks in during the last 96 hours. And going back to what we said earlier, we must leave no doubt that we will win this race and the House of Representatives. I have 9 more days of this. 9 more days until we know.
